Lending  Policies

A. Who may borrow books and other circulating materials?

     A.1 FOR OVERNIGHT AND HOME READING

        a. Incumbent Senators.

        b. Senators' staff with valid Senate Identification and borrower's card.*

        c. Officers and employees of the Secretariat with valid Senate

            identification and borrower’s card.

 

* Duly registered borrowers are the names of Senators' staff submitted to the library for its Roster of Registered Borrowers.

 

     A.2 FOR ROOM USE

 

        a. All those who have overnight and home reading privilege (A.1 a-c)

        b. "Non-Senate" researchers whose research will be limited to the use of

            Senate publications, e.g. Official compilations of laws; Journals and

            Records of the Senate; and the like.

 

B. What materials may be borrowed?

 

     B.1 FOR OVERNIGHT AND HOME READING

 

    Library books and other publications may be taken out or borrowed except

    those enumerated under B.2

 

     B.2 FOR LIBRARY USE ONLY

a. Reference materials (marked "REF" on spine)

b. A-V collection

c. Periodicals / journals

d. Vertical File / news clippings

e. Books and other publications marked "NOT TO BE TAKEN OUT"

f. Single-copy books

C. How many materials may be borrowed and for how long?

 

     C.1 A maximum of three (3) books are allowed to be taken out at

          a time for a period of five (5) days.

 

     C.2 Loaned materials may be renewed for another ..........
